Kevin Logan
Kevin Logan (UK) es graduado de la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Liverpool de la Universidad John Moores en 1993 y graduado del MA en Arte Multimedia de LJMU.
Siguiendo sus estudios de post grado empezo a concentrarse en arte y diseño sonoro para films cortos, participando en competiciones en el Edinburgh International Film Festival 2003, Rotterdam International Film Festival 2004 y ganando un lugar en la 2nd Bienal Talent Campus 2004, Berlin.
Ha realizado residencias en Belgica y Holanda durante el 2008, incluyendo presentaciones en el V2_Institute for the Unstable Media, Rotterdam, NL.
Sus últimos trabajos incluyen varias exhibiciones internacionales de arte sonoro, estas incluyen el trabajo ‘Sounding Door’ en la academia Lithuania de Música, Vilnius y una pieza sonora para el compilado CD ‘Soundtrack to a catastrophic world’, que fue premiado en el MANIF D’ART, the Qebec Biennial 2010.
Actualmente esta instalado en Londres donde cursa el MA en Arte Sonoro de la Universidad de Artes de Londres.
En Tsonami Kevin participa de la transmisión radial, con tres breves trabajos de field recording que en total tienen una duración de 18 minutos. Los trabajos abordan la temática de los sonidos de los movimientos sociales o la disidencia.
Kevin Logan is Manchester born, graduating with a degree in Fine Art from Liverpool John Moores University in 1993, and in 1999 gained an MA in Multimedia Art from LJMU.
Following his post graduate study he began to concentrate on audio art and sound design for short films, which have screened in competition at Edinburgh International Film Festival 2003, Rotterdam International Film Festival 2004 and led to gaining a place at the 2nd Berlinale Talent Campus 2004, Berlin.
In August 2008 he completed a two week sonic art residency in Belgium and Holland as part of European Sound Delta, performing at V2_Institute for the Unstable Media, Rotterdam, NL.
He has recently had work included in various international and web based sonic art exhibitions. These include the exhibition ‘Sounding Door’ at the Lithuanian Academy of Music, Vilnius and a sound piece on the compilation CD ‘Soundtrack to a catastrophic world’, which premiered at MANIF D’ART, the Qebec Biennial 2010. In July 2010 he performed the sound piece ‘DJ Pedagog’ at Foundation B.a.d , Rotterdam, NL.
He is currently based in London and completing a Sound Art MA at LCC, University of the Arts London.
